A wordless performance, inspired by Bogusław Schaeffer’s "Quartet for Four Actors" and the myth of Daedalus and Icarus.
Four characters find themselves unexpectedly confined within a peculiar space, which, for the duration of the performance, becomes their prison – a place of constraints, daily rituals and repetitive gestures. Each of them tries, in their own way, to find a way to escape and feel free, if only for a moment. What is freedom, and do we all understand it in the same way?
Movement, live music and elements of magical realism weave a tale of limitations, dreams and the need for collective action.
“Icaruses” invites the audience on a journey full of absurdity and subtle humour.
